CPD Accreditation

Why seek CPD accreditation with Impact Journals?
High-quality education deserves formal recognition. Impact Journals offers an independent, clinician-led accreditation service that assigns verifiable CPD hours to courses, workshops, meetings and digital resources across medicine and the allied professions. Our process is transparent, aligned with UK professional-body standards, and designed to add credibility without creating administrative burden.

Who can apply
Universities, NHS trusts, colleges, medical device companies, professional societies, charities and individual educators may submit face-to-face events, e-learning modules, simulation packages or blended programmes. We welcome both UK and international applicants.

Accreditation standards
Each application is reviewed against five domains:

  1. Educational need and relevance: alignment with current practice gaps or guideline updates.

  2. Learning objectives: clear, measurable aims mapped to recognised competency frameworks.

  3. Instructional design: evidence-based teaching methods, active learner engagement and appropriate assessment.

  4. Faculty credentials: subject expertise, teaching experience and declarations of interest.

  5. Quality assurance: evaluation strategy, feedback loop and commitment to continuous improvement.

Review process and timelines
Submit the required information via email to editor@impact-journals.org, including programme outline, faculty CVs, and supporting materials. An initial completeness check is completed within three working days. A peer reviewer then assess content and issue a decision within a further seven working days. Minor revisions can be approved within one week of resubmission.

CPD hours and certification
We calculate CPD hours using the standard 60-minute learning unit. Successful providers receive:

  • A digital accreditation seal valid for 12 months.

  • Individual certificates in PDF format with unique verification codes.

  • Listing in the Impact Journals CPD directory.

Fees
Fees are scaled by programme length and complexity. Typically, charitable and unfunded projects may request free accreditation.

Benefits to providers
Accreditation signals educational quality to delegates, sponsors and regulatory bodies; boosts enrolment; and simplifies appraisal documentation for participants. Providers can also opt for bundled services such as abstract book hosting and indexed conference proceedings through Impact Journals.

Post-event evaluation
Accredited activities must collect and store delegate feedback, which will streamline future renewals.

How to apply

Email the programme (with content and timings), faculty CV, and any supporting information to editor@impact-journals.org. Renewals will be considered data alongside any substantive programme changes. A member of the accreditation team will acknowledge receipt and guide you through the next steps.
